Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 24, 2025
1) Who we are
MRivals.GG (“we”, “us”) is a community project that provides stats and tools for Marvel Rivals. Contact: [email protected].
2) What data we collect
- Usage data: pages viewed, approximate location (via IP), device/browser info, timestamps, referrers.
- Cookies & analytics: to keep sessions, prevent abuse, and understand traffic (e.g., first-party cookies and privacy-respecting analytics).
- Search & inputs: player names or queries you enter (not linked to an identity by default).
- Third-party integrations: if you follow links or use widgets (Discord, Patreon), those services may collect additional data under their policies.
- Public game data: player stats/ranks from public APIs/endpoints; this content is typically already public to the community.
3) Why we collect it (legal bases)
We process data to operate the site (performance of service), prevent fraud/abuse (legitimate interests), measure aggregated performance (analytics/legitimate interests), and comply with law. Where consent is required (e.g., non-essential cookies in some jurisdictions), we’ll request it or provide opt-out.
4) How we use data
Provide and improve features, personalize basic UI (e.g., last platform/season used), monitor availability and security, produce aggregated statistics (non-identifying), and communicate important changes.
5) Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share minimal data with service providers (hosting, analytics, CDN, error monitoring) bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms. We may disclose data when required by law or to protect users, the Service, or rights holders.
6) Data retention
Logs and analytics are retained for the shortest period consistent with the purposes above (commonly 30–180 days for raw logs; aggregated metrics may be stored longer without identifiers). You can request deletion of any contact emails/messages you send us.
7) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (TLS, access controls, least privilege). No system is 100% secure; please report vulnerabilities responsibly to [email protected].
8) International transfers
Data may be processed in countries outside your own. We rely on standard contractual measures and reputable providers to safeguard transfers where applicable.
9) Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR/EEA, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict/opt-out, or port your data. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise rights. We may need to verify your request.
10) Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or local digital-consent age). If you believe a child provided us data, contact us to remove it.
11) Third-party links
Our site may link to or embed third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review them before using those services.
12) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy; material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes implies acceptance.
